Yay For Friday!

 

Well another Friday is upon us.  It's the Friday before the official Thanksgiving sprint.  I have to get my turkey this weekend and start making the list. 

 

Are you ready for Thanksgiving? 

 

Before we jump into the weekend, let's talk about a few items and ideas that made me smile this week.  The first is this great product by Benefit called High Brow Glow.  I am going to show you how it looks next week when it's actually on and doing it's thing. 

 

After today's post, you might have figured out that I am on a Brow Kick, and this is just one of those great finds that is a real game changer for polishing the brows and adding some awesome definition.  More to come on this, but if I've peaked your interest, go grab one at Sephora, they are $20/each.

Next I wanted to highlight a totally under-rated soap from Target.  I usually stop at Bath and Body Works once every few months to stock up on their 5 for $20 antibacterial soaps.  But, a month or so ago I picked up these Mrs. Meyers hand soaps and I have to say,

 I am really pleased.

 

 

What I love about them is that they are Earth Friendly Cleaners made from plant-derived ingredients and essential oils.  They are non-drying and have the loveliest scents.  Oh and PS - they are only $3.99 each, and often on sale at good old Target.

 

Last week in my Yay for Friday post, I wrote about a basket full of burlap that I had picked up at WalMart on clearance in preparation for the holidays and a new tree theme idea.

 

Well, the search and the shopping continued this week as I start to mentally design this year's Christmas tree.  I am going for a white / cream / neutral look that exudes romance and simplicity with a vintage feel.  So I picked up some wide ribbon and some lace.  Oh, and a few cream flowers...

While at Target, I went looking for a simple solution to this common mess that I am sure you might also find in your home's corners:

 

 

And I found this perfect purchase for around $20 that will solve all my problems!

 

 

It was easy to put together and it's light weight and expandable.  It's such a practical solution to any corner mess of shoes.  Cleans it all up and makes it look neat.

 

 

The Yay for Friday highlight of my week was a special visit with some old friends.  I used to coach a few really special ladies years ago, and it warms my heart that we have kept in touch after all this time.  We finally connected this week and made time for a drink and some laughs. 

 

 

If you get the chance to see an old friend, make some time for it!  You might realize that you are able to pick up right where you left off.
